To get to the NEW STUDENT page please follow the steps provided below. Please note that only students who have submitted their $150 enrollment fee have access to their clearance status and housing application.

 

1)      Go to www.dillard.edu (for an optimal user experience, please access all weblinks using a PC instead of mobile or tablet devices)

2)      Click on myDU (top green toolbar)

3)      Log in using your

a.       User name – (your DU student ID# 123456)

b.      Password – (use the forgot password link to have a password reset link emailed to you)

*Please note that the link to reset your password will be sent to the email address you applied with. Be sure to check your spam/junk mail for the reset password link. Contact us via email admissions@dillard.edu if you need additional assistance. 

4)      Click on the green tab entitled NEW STUDENT

5)      Read and follow the prompts on the page to help guide you through this process

 

All incoming students are required to be cleared by August 1st for fall enrollment and December 1st for spring enrollment.

Steps to Clearance

As you prepare to join the DU family soon, we have designed this page to help ensure that your transition to Dillard University is as stress free as possible. Please read this page and refer back to it as often as you need. It contains important information for you to prepare for the August 1st, clearance deadline.  

 

All incoming students have until August 1st to complete our clearance process and be cleared by all offices listed below:

Transcripts with graduation date:

High School Students: A transcript of your final high school grades with your date of graduation listed must be submitted by August 1st. Students who do not provide their final high school transcript will not be permitted to participate in SOAR and attend classes. SOAR is mandatory for all incoming students.

 

Transfer Students: If you are a transfer applicant or have received college credits while in high school, an official and final transcript from the college where the credit was earned should be submitted no later than August 1st. Students who do not provide their official college transcript(s) will not be permitted to participate in SOAR and attend classes. 

 

Submission of $150 enrollment fee. Payments are accepted online (make a payment on your student account), via check or money order made payable to Dillard University.

All students must obtain a $0 balance once all tuition, fees and room and board have been applied accordingly. Students will be the option to provide outside scholarships, setup a payment plan, pay by check or credit card etc. For questions regarding how to setup a payment plan, please call the University Cashier at 504-816-4654.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Dillard’s school code is 002004. Please make sure we have your Social Security Number on file and that you have added Dillard to your FAFSA. If you have not yet received your financial aid package, please contact our office directly.

All persons entering Dillard for the first time must show proof of immunization prior to registering for classes. Your ability to register will be held until proof can be obtained. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Health and Wellness at 504-816-4543.

Student Account

Check your student account on MyDU. To reset your password please email your full name and ID# to admissions@dillard.edu. Use your student ID# as your login. Access your MyDU student account.

 

IMPORTANT DATES…. 

August 1st: Clearance deadline for all offices including fiscal payment (inclusive of the payment plan) for fall. Submission deadline for all AP/IB/CLEP test scores and official transcripts for dual/concurrent/developmental course(s).

 

August 2nd: Fall course schedules and housing assignments purged (deleted) if CLEARANCE is not obtained by August 1st.

 

*After this date, once CLEARANCE is obtained in all offices, contact the Residential Life Office at (residentiallife@dillard.edu) and University College universitycollege@dillard.edu) for reinstatement of lost schedule and new assignment. NOTE: Previous schedules and housing assignments are not guaranteed.

 

Move-In Day: August 9

Because we want you to be successful, please make sure we have ALL ACT/SAT scores, Dual Credit Transcripts and AP/IB score results on file. This will better assist us with academic course placement. The Bursar’s office should be contacted to make payments once the Office of Financial Aid has awarded the student their financial aid.

This office provides a financial overview and expected cost on every student according to their FAFSA and other supporting documents that were requested.

Residential Life provides housing to students. A housing application must be completed, along with a $150 enrollment fee to secure housing for students.

Student Health Services are available to students who become ill or have medical questions. A licensed practical nurse or medical doctor is on staff to assist with student health needs. Also, student immunization records should be provided to this office.

Each student will be paired with a DU Faculty Fellow whose role is to help each freshman transition from high school to college. The Center for the First Year Experience will also provide training in certain areas like spending habits, effective study skills, and much more.
