My favorite college memory was spending an entire summer attending class and living out of the Hilton Riverside Hotel in 2006. It was the most memorable time of my college journey and most impactful as well. The Hilton will never be the same.

My best college memory would have to be getting the opportunity to travel to Ghana for two weeks on a volunteer trip. It was my first time traveling to Africa and I didn't know what to expect. It was a very impactful experience and I am still friends with some of the local college students I was able to meet while there.

Students should choose Dillard because the university offers a diverse and inclusive family atmosphere. Through campus life, academic programs, internships, and much more Dillard gives students the foundation needed to go out into the world and succeed.

I am a Dillard University Alumnus and I would say that my favorite memory as a college student was chartering ELEVATE, a student organization, on campus my Junior year. It was an honor to have some great people walk alongside me to help this dream become a reality and also humbling to know that students years later would continue to keep the dream alive and benefit from it.

I believe you should attend Dillard University because there are many great opportunities offered to take advantage of to progress your professional career. On top of this Dillard University has cultivated a family type of atmosphere that is very close knit so it’s always great to feel seen as a person and not just a statistic.

When I choose to go to college I knew without delay that I wanted to attend an HBCU. I was excited to go away, yet not be too far should I wanted to visit home. I was excited to meet new people from around the globe and to be involved in life long organizations. I was able to get an up close and personal look at Fraternities and the many Stomp shows that they had. Living on campus was a plus as it taught me how to be more responsible and accountable for my decisions. I am able to still connect to some of my professors to this day as they love hearing about my success and professional growth.

As a student you should choose DU because WHY NOT? Dillard has so much to offer and truly stand by its mission. We are a small private University that was the 1st HBCU in Louisiana, est. in 1869 that is Faith based. Our class sizes are small enough to where you can build relationships with your professors. There are many different on/off campus organizations, so there’s plenty to choose from. We are centrally located with a beautiful campus known as “THE OAKS”. Students are also involved in community activities and awareness as Dillard University truly stands by being a Communiversity. The Grass is greener at MYDU!

My best college memory would have to be the choir tours, the opportunity to travel the country, sing, and make friends that became family was incredible.

Students should attend/consider Dillard University because the family style environment is unmatched here. Everyone cares about each other and wants to see each other win. I love that.
