Loyola, Tulane, Xavier Universities

Dillard University along with Loyola University New Orleans, Notre Dame Seminary, Tulane University, and Xavier University of Louisiana have a cooperative agreement that allows students to cross-register for undergraduate courses at the institutions during the fall and spring semesters.

  • Cross-registration opportunities are contingent upon capacity in courses not available to students at their home institution.
  • Students who cross-register must maintain full-time status including credit hours taken at consortium institutions.
  • Students must be enrolled in at least nine (9) hours at Dillard University and only allowed to take a maximum of six (6) hours at the requested institution.
  • Only course credits from the host institution will transfer.

Acadeum

To request to enroll into a course(s) through Acadeum for the 2024 Summer Term and Fall Semester, you must follow the instructions below: 

  • Login and register for the course(s) HERE via a catalog powered by Acadeum.  Acadeum is our partner in coordinating these online course equivalencies from other institutions.  
  • The Office of Records and Registration will review your request for approval or denial.  Decisions will be made utilizing the following:

 

Approved Course:

  1. The student must be enrolled at Dillard University as a full time student for the requested semester/term (at least 12 credit hours per semester Fall/Spring; 6 credit hours in the Summer Term) in courses that are required for the student's degree plan. 
  2. The requested course must be within the beginning and end dates of the 2024 Summer Term (May 28th - June 27th) and for the Fall Semester (August 19th - December 13th).
  3. The requested course cannot allow your current course load to exceed an overload.
  4. Courses that are not currently being offered at Dillard University.

 

Denied Course:

  1. The requested course is not a course that is required within your curriculum.
  2. You have not met the prerequisite for the requested course. 
  3. The university's registration period has closed for that semester or term.

 

Additional Important Notes: 

  • Please note that with any course(s) you take, consultation with your academic advisor is required to ensure that your curriculum is met. 
  • The cost for the course(s) is included in your current tuition charges at Dillard University (for up to 18 hours for a semester 9 hours for a term). However, overload charges will apply for those who are 19 hours and above (semester) or 10 hours and above (term). 
  • For questions related to the course and its content, you must contact the professor at the institution you are enrolled at through this partnership.
  • Questions related to any cost should be directed to the Office of Business and Finance at bursar@dillard.edu .
  • Even though the course is being offered through another institution, please remember that  you are still bound by the Dillard University Student Code of Conduct.  In addition, because these are not Dillard University courses, any grade appeal/grievance is subject to that university's policy and procedure. 
  • Finally it is important that you ensure that you attend the class(s) regardless of the teaching modality and most importantly that you are academically successful in the classes.  Failure to do so, will result in both an academic and financial penalty for you.
