 The Skills for Effective Online Learning Self Assessment can help you determine if you have the skills you need to be an online learner.  

Canvas LMS

DEAL courses use Canvas to deliver course content, as a communication and collaboration platform and for authentic assessments, including assignments, discussions, projects, portfolios, quizzes, and tests.  DEAL instructors may also choose to use VoiceThread, Proctorio Automated Test Proctoring, the Unicheck plagiarism detector application, and many other applications and tools that fully integrate with our Canvas LMS.

Students, your Canvas login id is your student id number

Students, your Canvas password is the first two letters of your first name in lowercase immediately followed by your id number.  This should equal 8 characters.

CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD in YOUR PROFILE!

Example:  DU Student JANE DOE with DU id# of 654321 will have a Canvas Login Id of 654321 and password of ja654321

Welcome to Dillard University Veterans and Veterans' Dependents, we would like to thank you for your service to our country!!! This page is designed to assist you with you Veteran Affairs as you matriculate at Dillard University.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us our stop our office.  Once again thank you for your service and thank you for choosing Dillard University!

Please follow these steps after being admitted to Dillard University:

  1. Complete and/or check the status of your online GI Bill application.
  2. Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see if you qualify for additional student aid.  Check with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships for aid eligibility.
  3. Once you have received the “Certificate of Eligibility” letter from the VA, submit it to the office Records and Registration.
  4. Register for your courses.
  5. As soon as you have registered for your courses, be sure to complete and submit your “Veteran Certification Request.  The Dillard University Request for Certification Form can also be submitted in person to our office, or scanned and emailed to hcade@dillard.edu
  6. Veteran education benefits are certified on a semester basis – be sure to complete the Dillard University Request for Certification Form each semester.

Note: If you have used VA education benefits previously at another university, you must complete VA Form 22-1995 (Request for Change of Program or Place of Training) through VONAPP (Veterans Online Application).

How to Access My Dillard University Student Email

All student email addresses has moved from FirstName.LastName@Students.Dillard.edu and has become FirstName.LastName@Dillard.edu.  

Your password is the same password used to log on to all computers on campus.

Log on your account using “FirstName.LastName” only.

To obtain costs of textbooks for registered classes for the semester, students can use their myDU login credentials to log in to Book Now by selecting this link. Once logged in, scroll down to the bottom of your schedule and select "Purchase Books at the Bookstore" to enter the site.
 
Students with a book voucher on their Dillard University ID card can purchase their books online with their ID card. Visit the Bursar Office in Rosenwald Hall, room 106 for more information.
